Who we are
Texas Tops is a family-run truck business in the Rio Grande Valley. For 37 years we have fitted camper shells, lift kits, wheels, lighting, and the rest of the gear that turns a stock pickup into a working truck or a weekend 4x4.
The business grew the way most Valley businesses do: by word of mouth, by taking care of the truck in front of us, and by standing behind the work after it leaves. The same family still runs the counter, and the same standard still applies to every install, from a bed liner to a full suspension build.
We are truck people, not a catalogue with a loading dock. Most of what we sell, we fit and install ourselves, and we will tell you when a part is not worth the money for the way you actually drive.

Texas Tops is the business. It has outfitted Valley trucks for 37 years, and it is the name over the door, the team behind the counter, and the crew that does the work.
Texas 4x4 by Texas Tops is the truck-accessory and 4x4 division of that same business, and the name on this site. It is not a separate company or a franchise. Where we work
We keep two storefronts in the Valley: McAllen on East US Highway 83 and La Feria on East Business 83. Brownsville is served by our mobile and on-site crew, who bring the work to your driveway, ranch, or jobsite.

Alongside retail, we run a fleet division for contractors, oilfield, government, and utility fleets across South Texas. That covers fitment, management, maintenance, repair, and mobile on-site service for trucks, vans, buses, and cars.
